Travel Grants in Jewish Studies

General Information
Faculty affiliated with the Centre for Jewish Studies are eligible to apply for support for travel for the purposed of participating in an academic conference, workshop, or symposium that contributes substantially to research in Jewish Studies or to teaching of Jewish Studies at York University. Support will be up to the amount of $750 per trip, with preference given to faculty who have not yet received such support in a given academic year, and may be used for travel costs, including airfare, ground transportation, conference fees, and lodging. Faculty should apply for travel support in advance by submitting to the Director of the Centre in the form of a memo or an email, the invitation or program indicating the purpose of travel as well as a travel budget that includes other sources of funding.

Faculty affiliated with the Centre for Jewish Studies are eligible to apply for support for travel to Israel for the purposes of participating in an academic conference, workshop, or symposium that contributes substantially to research or to teaching at York University. Support will be up to the amount of $1,000 per trip, with preference given to faculty who have not yet received such support in a given academic year, and may be used for travel costs, including airfare, ground transportation, conference fees, and lodging. Faculty should apply for travel support in advance by submitting to the Director of the Centre in the form of a memo or an email, the invitation or program indicating the purpose of travel as well as a travel budget that includes other sources of funding.

Graduate students affiliated with the Centre for Jewish Studies are eligible to apply for support for travel for the purposes of participating in an academic conference, workshop, or symposium that contributes substantially to research in Jewish Studies or to teaching of Jewish Studies at York University.
